I had an absolute FABULOUS day ...making ART most of the day. When tearing denim strips earlier I decided to crochet some flowers with the threads from the denim. SO EXCITED about these!!

This week is DISTRESS STICKLES.
I bought my distress stickles a while back and just don't use them. I LOVEEEE my regular stickles...but just wasn't liking the distress ones. Even thought about destashing them. But I decided to give them another try. So made a Bamboo tile necklace....wasn't stickle-y enough for the challenge....so decided to do a Altered Tin Lid Halloween Hanger. There are Broken China Distress stickles on the flower and background...LOVE the look it gave!! Glad I gave them another try. I really enjoyed making this one!! Can't believe the summer break is almost over :( We've been keeping busy. I've been sneaking a little ART in here and there when I get the chance. Like when our youngest plays in the pool...I crochet, make fabric or t-shirt yarn, etc. Thought I'd share some of my recent accomplishments.
Some T-shirt yarn...Tie Die, Lime Green, White and some orange silk fabric yarn YUM!
3 dozen crochet Butterflies for a friend and 2 more for me. Hope to get some made and added to my ETSY shop one day :)
I've knit a long skinny multi-colored scarf, and crocheted a neckwarmer...both need to be photographed...I'll either add a button or flower to the neckwarmer.
I'm currently crocheting a thick fuzzy afghan...it's 44 inches wide and I've gotten 37 inches high crocheted so far.
Recently I made this ATC for a swap...

oh yeah...and think I forgot to share in July the birthday card I made for our Nephew's Birthday.
and since it was thick....I made an envel-box for it...

***ADDED NOTE---I've had a few questions about the background....here's what I did to make it...I used a Contact Brand shelf liner called Simple Elegance....White Diamond. Just added my 3 favorite alcohol inks to the a. i. tool and smooshed it all over it. :O)***
