What's going on in my world??

TONS  LOL  as usual I'm busy busy.  Monday I spent most of the day rearranging our livingroom...so far so good....we like it.  Moved my footstool back in here (moved it out when the baby started walking)....it was a find that I purchased while working at an auction house... a vintage one that I recovered years ago...it opens and has a compartment inside...which is now filled with my current knitting. WOO HOO

Today was Sam's day off.  He spent the morning fishing and then this evening we headed to the big city of Beaumont book shopping.  (ok ok...I also stopped at Hobby Lobby...but only to get a few glues that I needed).  Of course Sam and the kids all bought books...we are book lovers here.  I found all the books I wanted plus a few more.  I got Make it Mine Magazine and the latest Belle Armoire Jewelry (my sweet friend,Kelly Snelling -- http://www.soulhumming.typepad.com/-- is in it...so had to have it), Uncommon Crochet by Julie Armsrong Holetz (been on my list a good while), and a book I was looking for a long time ago .... Generation T 108 ways to tranform a t-shirt.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

and I got The Cool Girl's Guide to knitting (clearanaced at Barnes and nobles WOOO HOO), Vickie Howell Knit Aid, Crazy Aunt Purl's Drunk, Divorced & covered in Cat Hair...ROFL...started reading it on the way home...great patterns too!, and finally The Friday Night Knitting Club by Kate Jacobs (that will have to wait in line behind Crazy Aunt Purl)  LOL

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Didn't find Quick Crochet Huge Hooks by Sally Harding....B&N says it's out of print....so I came home and snapped up a copy on eBay....it'll be on it's way soon.  HEE HEE

So guess I'll be busy for a while.

OH Yeah last week I recieved Semiprecious Salvage....I ordered a copy when I pre-ordered my copy of A Charming Exchange by Kelly and her friend Ruth.....can't wait until it's released.

I used an image from www.paperimagerydesigns.com I am loving their images and yahoo group.  Lots of FUN events here. I one little Billy and another collage sheet be winning a Trivia Question contest...TOO FUN!  There is currently a membership drive for our yahoo group...so if you were to be interested in joining .... please say "Angie Haviland referred me" in the comments when

Back to ?NORMAL?!?

Back to normal....LOL  I'm trying!!  It's been a crazy busy week...trying to get back into the swing of being home.  Monday...Groceries, bills, etc.  Oh yeah and bought an MP3 player.  Well we spent 2 days and 5 people attempting to get it to work.  LOL  It went back to Target last night LOL  and yes I got another one...better brand and so CUTE  LOL  I'm so happy to be able to listen to music again...with the "nursery" built right off the family room and studio I can't exactly be playing my radio or CDs.  Well, unless I want my little friend up before her time.  LOL  I'm now armed with all my favorites by Loretta Lynn, Patsy Cline, Reba McEntire, Dolly Parton, Janis Joplin and George Straight oh yeah and Conway Twitty.  This will keep me busy for now :)  Atleast for today HEE HEE

the rest of the day our Nephew, Anthony spent the day with us...so I didn't get much done with a 2 and 3 year old to entertain :)

Well...I'm off (with tunes).....

We are HOME!!

We went to the lake (Toledo Bend in Burkeville TX) and had a WONDERFUL time.  Had a few short showers....but besides that BEAUTIFUL (HOT) Weather.  Thank goodness for sun screen.  We had the camera out the first day and then slipped our minds after that....we were busy. 

Brandi (our oldest daughter) took some of the pictures and then I took a few.  I notice now that my very sneaking son managed to avoid the camera...again!

Yes, she took a picture of me crocheting while we were grilling steaks.  THANKS, Brandi!

I did a little crocheting and knitting in our down time.....but more go go go , and playing games.  Will share what I made when I finish them up.  Did have to crochet up some sponges for our camp stay.  My sister, BIL and Nephew came up the weekend and she liked the sponges so much she wanted some...so I crocheted those on the ride home.

Made some ATCs this morning....

I worked on some ATCs this morning.  Here's what I came up with.

For the ATC Jackpot with the paperimagerydesigns.com yahoo group.  I used a Paper Imagery Designs ATC Background image and this adorable little man.  As soon as I found this text I knew they'd go together well.

These were all FUN to make.

I am really really enjoying the new images and supplies I've ordered from the new company Paper Imagery Designs www.paperimagerydesigns.com  I've joined the new Yahoo Group there and we are having a blast.  I answered a Trivia question and won 2 collage sheets ...so EXCITED!!  Too much FUN!!  I wish Lori and Melissa the best of luck with there WONDERFUL and INSPIRING line of ART Images and Supplies.  They are nice ladies and FABULOUS ARTists!!  Just thought I'd let you all know...I think P. I. D. is certainly worth checking out!!!

JUNE ALREADY!!!

YESTERDAY..... we spent the day at the beach.  It was a FUN day.  Lots of seaweed...YUCK (Luckily we'd brought a rake in case).  But the "surfing" was good LOL  It was a really pretty day with a WONDERFUL breeze (thankfully!!)
