Been making some ART...

I've gotten a good bit done in the last few days.

I finished up these Button Cards for Heather's Vintage Button Card Swap...

Yesterday I started a batch of Sassy signs.  Painted backgrounds, picked out sayings from my collection, and images I wanted to use.  Last night I had a chance to put 2 together.

This morning I finished 13 Altered Bamboo Tile Pins

This one is for my friend, Liz.  Today's her birthday....so will be heading down to her antique shop for a visit.

This one I made for myself

and here are the rest which I will be adding to my ETSY SHOP soon (hopefully later today).

Up and RUNNING

The new Hard Drive for my computer arrived yesterday and Sam installed it last night.  Starting from scratch again.  Luckily I had recently backed up all my pictures and scans. 

Been doing a bazillion things but fit in a little ART....

Here's 2 charms/pendants to surprise two special friends, they'll know who they are soon.  :)

and here are 3 necklaces that I finished up and will be taking to the antique shop, Land of Oz.

I'm still ALIVE....but my computer's not.

Today is 4 months to the day since we purchased my computer.  It went out during the last week.  Today we found out the hard drive completely went out...so Compaq is sending another that should be here by Thursday.  Until then I'll continue using Sam and Braydon's.  Luckily!!

We've been busy busy and haven't been getting a lot of ART done...but a little here and there.  Have done a few surprises and will share when I hear they make it where they were going.  I made this batch of bamboo tiles...

I made this necklace, which went out in today's mail to Ms. Linda K....for the Top Hat Baubles and Beads Lottery.  CONGRATS Linda!! 

I made 4 new book thongs to go to Land of Oz Antiques here in town.

I made this fabric ATC for the Vintage Dragonfly Lottery.

The theme was Try it Out....so I tried using an image from my computer and made a gel transfer from it.  and it worked well.  I put it on a tan canvas and think I it would have looked better had I used white.  The other thing I tried was wrapping fibers around a chenille stem.  Wasn't completely happy with this card....but did learn from it.

I later added this black cording....

Off to update my links and then try to sneak into the ART room :) 

Still on vacation!!

First few days we worked on the house.  FINALLY got the living room and kitchen ceilings finished and painted and the rooms put back together!!!!  WOO HOOOOOOO!  We've done some more work outside....ongoing challenge around here.  I did get caught up on all the ART packages I needed to get sent. 

The older kids have been swimming all week.  Today we set up a covered area (steel frame portable carport thing) and a kiddie pool for Brynna.  Hopefully it's so fun that she won't want to be in the big pool the whole time....we set it up right in front of our swing so I can craft, read, whatever while watching her. 

Well, I guess they all enjoy the kiddie pool  Giggle!!

as much as we all enjoy the big pool (as ugly and tacky as it is in all it's big blue glory LOL)

Just having a wonderful summer so far.

Our garden and plants are doing well and we spent part of the day giving Tomatoes (that we now have coming out our ears) to neighbors and friends.  lol  We are eating them on/with everything.  Here's a picture of Sam's grapes. 

I've not gotten a lot of ART done lately .... but it's a part of everything we do.  Here is a pile of pine needles that Sam and I picked up before putting up the kiddie pool .... I hope to weave some one day.  Please excuse the table...it's my outdoor ART table were I do my messy painting (Spray paints, webbing spray, speckled paints, etc)

It's a 1 1/2 inch square pendant.   I have listed this piece in my ETSY Shop.

Haven't been making a whole lot of ART.  Did make something else....but it's a surprise so can't share it yet.

Thursday was the last day of school for the kids and Friday Sam started a long weekend, followed by his vacation!!  YIPPIE!!  We've gotten the pool up and are enjoying our time off.

Today I uploaded lots of Necklaces, and book thongs into my ETSY Shop getting ready for a First Monday sale on ETSY.  Many members of ETSYTexasCrafters will be offering specials in their ETSY Shops.  I will be offering 20% off my items and free shipping (which I always offer).  This is a one time sale, I will run a different promotion each first Monday of the month.

Well, gotta run....off to Celebrate my little sister's birthday.  GEEEEZ she's getting OLD...the big 28!!  HAPPY BIRTHDAY Moe!
